Cristina Santos is an Adjunct professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja. She received her Bachelor's degree in Product Design (2001) and her Master’s degree in Graphic Design (2010) from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, with the Final Master Thesis in the area of infographics. Currently she’s attending the PhD in Design at the same Faculty (since 2011).
Cristina Santos worked as an industrial and Graphic Designer (between 2001 and 2007) for several companies (2001-2007) and in Design Consulting between 2007 and 2011.
She works currently as Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja since 2007 and she’s a member of the Scientific Technical and Pedagogical Commission of Arts and Multimedia Course. She’s collaborator at Laboratory of Art and Multimedia Communication in the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, where she has integrated a multidisciplinary team that works in projects development in the Arts and Multimedia Communication field, in applied research projects and services to the community in the different areas such as Design, Education, Multimedia Programming, Visual Arts, Communication and Fine Arts. She’s also attends as contributor investigator in the CIAUD - Research Centre for Architecture, Urbanism and Design at the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon.
Research project: The infographics in the multidimensional exploration of the local Natural and Cultural Heritage in virtual context.
