Mário Say Ming Kong é Licenciado em Arquitetura pela FAUTL,
Pós-Doutoramento na Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona – Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (ETSAB-UPC).
Doutorado em Arquitetura na especialidade de desenho e comunicação visual pela Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona – Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (ETSAB-UPC).
Mestrado em Reabilitação da Arquitetura e Núcleos Urbanos pela Faculdade de Arquitetura- Universidade Ténica de Lisboa (FAUTL)
Atualmente é Professor Auxiliar da FAUTL, Professor Convidado na ESELx e Professor Convidado no Curso de Mestrado Artístico da ESBal.
Desde 1994, é docente do Departamento de Artes Humanidades e Ciências Sociais da FAUL.
Foi docente também na Universidade Lusófona (U.L.H.T.) e na Universidade Independente, respectivamente nos departamentos de Urbanismo e Arquitectura.
Em 2000 foi Coordenador do primeiro ano do Curso de Urbanismo na U.L.H.T. Em 1998 Regente da disciplina de Desenho/CAD/Geometria Descritiva na U.L.H.T.
Tem participado em estudos de investigação científica e trabalhos de consultoria para entidades externas. Tem também participado em diversos publicações, comunicação e cursos de formação de forma a divulgar os resultados da sua atividade nas universidades Nacionais e Internacionais.
Atualmente é co-coordenador do curso de especialização em Arquiteturas em Papel e Design Paramétrico e responsável por dois projetos de I&D no CIAUD, colaborando em outros dois.
Os seus principais domínios de investigação são: “Harmonia e proporção na representação entre o Ocidente e o Oriente” e “Arquitetura em papel e materiais sustentáveis
