Investigadora desde: 2008

Ines Simoes (n. 1961) completou a licenciatura em Pintura na Escola Superior de Belas-Artes de Lisboa, Universidade de Lisboa (em 1985), o AAS em Design de Moldes no Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York (em 1990), o Mestrado e o Doutoramento em Design na Faculdade de Arquitectura, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (em 2005 e 2012 respectivamente).
É Professora Auxiliar da Faculdade de Arquitectura, Universidade de Lisboa (onde exerce desde 1992) e a Coordenadora da licenciatura em Design de Moda (desde 2009).
A sua actividade de docência inclui predominantemente as disciplinas de design de moldes e draping. A sua actividade profissional abrange as áreas da pintura, design de moda, figurinos e moldes.
A sua investigação incide na história, teoria e prática do design de moldes, com enfoque no acréscimo do conforto motor. Recentemente investiga sobre novas estratégias para o ensino e a aprendizagem do design de moldes.
É autora de vários papers sobre os paradigmas da representação do corpo no design de moldes.
Foi Membro Colaborador do Centro de Investigação for Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Design da Faculdade de Arquitectura, Universidade de Lisboa (de 2007 a 2013) e Membro Permanente (desde 2013). É Membro Colaborador do Centro de Investigação em Território, Arquitectura e Design da Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa (desde 2013).
