Investigador desde: 2012

David Vale é licenciado em Geografia e Planeamento Regional (FCSH-UNL), mestre em Sistemas de Informação Geográfica (IST-UL) e doutorado em Architecture, Planning and Landscape (Newcastle University).

É professor auxiliar na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa, lecionando disciplinas de Geografia Urbana, Sistemas Viários e Transportes, Sistemas de Informação Geográfica e Desafios Urbanos Contemporâneos.

Desenvolve investigação no domínio do planeamento regional e urbano, especificamente na integração de planeamento de usos do solo e planeamento de transportes, no desenvolvimento orientado ao transporte público (DOTP) na análise e construção de indicadores de acessibilidade multimodal e activa (walkability e bikeability), e na relação das características do ambiente construído com os padrões de mobilidade, a actividade física e o estado de saúde da população.
