PRODUCT DESIGN

Relates to different levels of guidance. The first level is associated to the development of instruments and tools to read and understand changes in shapes and patterns in the development of different products. There is a strong interest in new materials and emerging technologies to develop new or different products. The second level is guided towards action and project with an objective to develop methodologies and techniques for the formulation of development models and ways to test and apply them in different environments.

COMMUNICATION DESIGN

Related to the promotion of quality and sustainability in the field of communication. In this context, research interests are centred on several aspects, such as design concepts for applied research, and the relation between graphic design, web design and multimedia.

FASHION DESIGN

Aims to develop conceptual tools and knowledge on conceptual clothing design, environmental evaluation and sustainable development in the textile industry and in fashion design.
