MORPHOLOGY AND URBAN PROJECT

Relates to different levels of guidance. The first level is associated to the development of instruments and tools in the reading and understanding of changes in  shapes and patterns, for the development of several products. There is a strong interest in new materials and emerging technologies to develop new or different products. The second level is guided towards action and project, with an objective to develop methodologies and techniques for the formulation of development models and as a way to test and apply them in differennt environments.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT, THE METROPOLIS AND LANDSCAPE

Frames projects and interests in large spaces and scales, at the regional level, of the metropolitan areas, urban systems and ecosystems, to read and plan them.

URBAN ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Directed at projects that evaluate the sustainability conditions of territories and the built environment, as well as planning and managing different domains, including aspects such as mobility, comfort, housing and urban regeneration and rehabilitation.

PLANNING, GOVERNANCE AND TERRITORIAL COHESION

Centred on the study and evaluation of processes and policies, in particular of participative and collaborative processes and of public policies, in different fields of intervention in planning and urban and territorial strategies towards the promotion of social development and spatial justice.
