NOTA BIOGRÁFICA

Inês Campos, born in Fundão, 1983. Holds a Degree in Architecture (2002-2008) and a Master's degree in the same field from Universidade Moderna, Lisbon (2008), with the thesis titled “Miradouro Cities on the Coast: Connecting the Upper and Lower Parts of the City Using the Spaces in Between.” Completed a PhD in Architecture (2010-2015) at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, with the dissertation “Architectural Design and Metallic Structures in Housing – Applied Spatial Modular System.”. Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Beira Interior since 2010, teaching Design I, II, and III, as well as Descriptive Geometry. Her main activities at the university include teaching and research in architecture, focusing on architectural design, metallic structures, modular system typologies, living spaces, ruins, and rehabilitation. Served as a member of the Course Committee (2017-2020). Researcher at the Center for Research in Architecture, Urbanism, and Design (since 2012). Has been a collaborating member (since 2012) and researcher (since 2016) at CIAUD, contributing to projects coordinated by Dr. Amílcar Gil e Pires in the research line "Architecture of the City and Place." In 2018, she coordinated the research project “Modern and Contemporary Architecture with Steel Structures and the Relationship with Place.” She is also a member of the Research Group on Architecture, Place, and Landscape – ARCPLAND. Holds National Invention Patent No. 108119, titled “Modular Structure in Defined Steel Profile with Equal Tab Angles, ‘L’, Cross-Shaped” at INPI – National Institute of Industrial Property. Founder of INES CAMPOS studio^arquitetura, focusing on rehabilitation projects (since 2019). Member of the Regional Board of Directors for the Center region of the Order of Architects (2020-2023).
