The embryo project "CULTURAL AND SOCIAL DESIGN IN MONCHIQUE," coordinated by researcher Rita Filipe, will be on display in the Algarve parish of Monchique on the 'Artechique' Handicraft Fair, starting from July 27 and 28, 2024.

The project will be presented to the public, showcasing objects of product and communication design by researchers and students from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon and the School of Education and Communication of the University of Algarve, in collaboration with artisans from Monchique.

The embryo project "CULTURAL AND SOCIAL DESIGN IN MONCHIQUE" is a research project that aims to map the current and potential resources of the Municipality of Monchique, to identify and systematize actors and dynamics, and to produce projects suitable for the productive capacity of the region, actively contributing to the development of the region and the enhancement of local handicrafts.
