BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Peter Testa is a founding partner and design principal of TestaWeiser, based in Los Angeles. He is also a senior design faculty member at SCI-Arc. At TestaWeiser, he leads strategy and design for some of the world's most innovative companies and government agencies. His work has been featured at landmark institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art, The Centre Pompidou, and the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. It is also held in public collections and is part of the permanent collection of the Canadian Center for Architecture.
From 1997-2002, Testa was associate professor of architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to that, he held an associate professor position at Columbia University GSAPP. He has also served as a visiting professor at various schools, including Harvard University GSD and the University of California, Berkeley. In 2020, he was awarded the DAAD German Academic Exchange Award and served as a visiting professor at the Städelschule Art Academy in Frankfurt.
Peter Testa is the author of three books and has written extensively on architecture, with his work published in publications worldwide. He holds a B.Arch and an S.M.Arch.S (History/Theory/Criticism) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a Registered Architect in California. He has received numerous awards throughout his career, including the MIT Innovation Award, the Architecture Award of the Municipal Art Society of New York, and the Design Arts Award of the National Endowment for the Arts.
